GVS May Employee of the Month: Korissa Wilmont
Korissa Wilmont has been a dedicated nurse at GVS since June 2023. During that time, she has consistently demonstrated professionalism, accountability, strong clinical judgment, and a clear commitment to resident safety, quality care, and teamwork.
Korissa especially stood out during our recent elopement drill, which is part of our broader safety program designed to place team members in realistic, high-risk scenarios so we can proactively train, prepare, and strengthen our response. In a moment that required urgency, focus, and clear communication, Korissa remained calm, engaged, and ready to help guide the process. Her ability to step forward with confidence reflected the type of leadership and teamwork we rely on every day to keep our residents safe.
Korissa’s actions were also a strong example of our Hospitality Promises in action. She anticipated needs, followed through, communicated clearly, and worked alongside her teammates to help create confidence in the process. Most importantly, she kept resident well-being at the center of her response.
Korissa is a great reminder that leadership is not limited to a title. It shows up through composure, accountability, teamwork, and service. She supports those around her, responds with urgency, and consistently represents the resident-centered culture we strive for at GVS.
