Mary Marshall

Mary, Pavilion Activity Director, was chosen as the GVS Employee of the Month for December 2020!! Little did Mary know, that when she moved back here from Las Vegas over 20 years ago and was asked to play music as a volunteer in a long-term care community, that it would inspire her career in coordinating and directing Activities for Seniors. Mary became a Certified Activity Director in 2001 and has made it her mission to bring joy to the life of every resident she has encountered in her 20+ plus years in Long Term Care. Mary joined GVS as the Activity Director of the Pavilion in December 2011.

Even during these challenging times with restrictions on group activities in the Pavilion, Mary has coordinated one-on-one visits with residents, provided musical entertainment through singing and playing many musical instruments, and has helped keep families and residents connected through virtual visits and phone calls. In December, Mary spent many hours setting up Christmas lights and decorations outside of the Pavilion with the goal of making sure every resident could look out of their window and be able to see Santa and his sleigh, the Star of Bethlehem and many other decorations just to brighten their days and nights. We all appreciate her caring heart, her passion, and her many years of dedicated service to Greenwood Village South. Congratulations, Mary!
